After six fantastic years helping The National Enterprise Challenge to raise awareness of the importance of young people experiencing work ahead of leaving school, The National Enterprise Challenge are today announcing that Theo Paphitis and Ryman will no longer be the headline sponsor of the challenge.
Ryman Chairman and Ambassador for the last six years, Theo Paphitis, says: “Ryman and I have been thrilled to help thousands of students get work-ready over the last six years, and I am certain that many future leaders will have come through this programme.
Ryman is moving on to new challenges and to focus on developing direct partnerships with schools, and our commitment to the education and enterprise section remains a core part of Ryman’s work. We thank The Inspirational Learning Group for our collaborative work since 2013, and know that they will continue to take the National Enterprise Challenge onwards and upwards.”
The Inspirational Learning Group and challenge co-founder Ben Dyer said “We have really valued the support Ryman and Theo Paphitis have given the challenge over the last 6 years. During this time the challenge has gone on to become the largest in the UK with Theo proving extremely popular at our National Finals each year. We would like to thank both Theo and Ryman for their support”. Fellow co-founder Michael Dyer added, “Theo and Ryman have embodied everything that we look for in an ambassador and sponsor and we are very grateful to have been supported by them for such a long time”.
Theo became an ambassador for the challenge in September 2013 replacing Lord Sugar who took up the role in the first year. Both Theo and Ryman have set some incredible challenges to our young people over the last few years which they have then gone onto implement including 2014 pencil case challenge winners Graphoto and more recently Wimbledon High Schools range of characters “Animouth” which are now sold in over 50 Ryman stores Nationwide.
Theo and Ryman signed off their headline sponsorship with our biggest ever finals at Wembley Stadium in July 2019.
We will be making further announcements regarding our new ambassador next week.
