Last week, Years 7 and 8 took part in The National Enterprise Challenge which is an inter-school competition available to
all secondary schools in the UK.


The National Enterprise Challenge gives schools the opportunity to harness pupils’ key employability skills. It gives pupils
the opportunity to test themselves on a national level and businesses the chance to support the next generation of
budding entrepreneurs.

Teams had to pitch a new design for a pencil case which could be available for sale nationwide at UK Stationer,
Stationery. The Year 7 team that was chosen to go through to the national finals in July was ‘Flybe’. The Year 8
product winner was ‘Zombe’. They will deliver their pitches to British retail magnate, entrepreneur and former Dragon’s
Den star, Theo Paphitis, owner of . Well done to all who took part and good luck to the teams in July!
