We will work with you to arrange a suitable day for the challenge to be delivered at your  school  and work around your existing timetable and breaks. Please note that certain dates in March (such as National Careers Week) are in very high demand and we recommend booking early to secure your space!

Students work on a variety of cross-curricular tasks for the challenge in mixed ability teams of four to six for a full school day.

We require a single, large space for the challenge (for example a school hall or similar) and a few members of support staff for behavioural management where needed. We may also call on your members of staff to form part of the judging team and to give feedback on the presentations/pitches that take place in the afternoon.

The Presentations...

After completing all of the tasks led by our expert facilitators, the best 8-10 teams will then pitch in front of their peers and selected teachers at the end of the day.  The winning team will be invited to represent your school at the National Finals, competing in a final showdown against all other participating schools from across the country, for the opportunity to pitch on stage in front of our Challenge Ambassador, Theo Paphitis and hopefully be crowned The National Enterprise Challenge Champion 2019!

National Finals...

Our Grand final is a real celebration of enterprise with celebrity hosts and our guest Ambassador Theo Paphitis in attendance. Each team presents their idea to a preliminary judging panel made up of industry experts from across the country. The best eight teams 8 then pitch in front of Theo and our VIP judges as well as the audience of more than 1,500 challenge finalists, teachers Government and Corporate guests for the chance to be crowned National Champions!

How many pupils can take part in a National Enterprise Challenge day?

In short, as many as you like! We usually work with an entire cohort/year group, which on average is around 150-180 students, but if you have unusually large or small year groups we can explore multiple days or possibly look to combine year groups. It is best to speak to our School Engagement Team on 01785 550160 to  discuss your requirements.

What resources does my school need to provide?

We bring all learning resources (such as pens, paper etc) with us. We simply require a space to deliver, appropriate desks and chairs set out in groups of four to six, and an Audio Visual setup that will allow us to display and deliver our  challenge (usually a laptop, projector, speakers and a microphone).

How long does the challenge take?

Perfect for drop down/super learning/off-timetable days, the challenge takes place over a single school day, with timings worked around your existing school timetable. Your winning team then attends our Grand Final event which takes place again over single day.

Do you come to our school?

Yes! The Challenge takes place at your school with our team(s) of expert facilitators.

Are your team DBS checked?

Yes, all of our challenges are delivered by our fully trained and DBS checked facilitators.

Is my school guaranteed a place at your National Final?

Yes! We believe that every school should have the opportunity to represented on the national stage. Regardless of whether you are a public school, grammar school, state school, comprehensive or otherwise, you will be guaranteed a place at our National Final to compete against all other schools on an equal and unbiased platform.

Sounds great, but how much does it cost?

We understand that school budgets are constrained and ever-shrinking, but our days represent exceptional value for money in comparison to other providers and we are often able to offer discounts on certain dates.

As we are not Government funded our inspiring initiatives do incur a charge, but we  are very cost effective (on a per-student basis) and we may occasionally be able to point you in the direction of funding that could be available in your area.

Again, it is best to contact our School Engagement Team to discuss your requirements on 01785 550160.
