2018’s final held at The International Centre in the West Midlands was a resounding success, with over 1,400 challenge finalists being hosted by celebrity duo Jordan Benjo and Perri Kiely, from dance group sensation ‘Diversity’.
The challenges were set by principal sponsor Ryman and new partner ‘Kidzania’ – an indoor city ran by kids! Key Stage 4 particpants designed a concept for Ryman’s ‘back to school’ marketing campaign, and Key Stage 3 students designed a new activity for KidZania’s indoor city at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd’s Bush, London.
The overall winners of The National Enterprise Challenge 2018 were:
Ks3 Winners – ‘AstroTech’ from Northampton Academy
Ks4 Winners – ‘Rule The School’ from The de Ferrers Academy
A special mention and congratulations goes out to the team from Wimbledon High School (part of the Girls’ Day School Trust), with their idea ‘Animouth’… Despite not being crowned ultimate winners on the day, the team has been invited back to work with Theo’s team from Ryman to bring the concept for their innovative, ‘animal mouth’ pencil cases to life in Ryman’s top 50 stores nationally! Wow! Watch this space!
