Grand Finals 2013 – With Lord Sugar

Highlights From The Troxy, London

In January 2013 The National Enterprise Challenge (TNEC) launched with the aim of helping secondary school students gain the necessary skills they need for the world of work. The ‘TNEC’ team travelled the length of the country facilitating enterprise days to over 10,000 students. On July 2nd  at the Troxy Theatre,  East London TNEC hosted its first national finals. A team of six students from every school that took part competed throughout the day to be crowned TNEC 2013 champions. Three schools from both categories (Key Stage 3 & Key stage 4) pitched their business ideas in front of the 700+ guests and the four VIP judges (Claire Young – Apprentice Runner up, Mark Dawe – CEO of OCR, Mark Kerrigan – Operations Director Alton Towers & Ben McBean – Motivational Speaker). There was also a Q&A session with the challenges main ambassador, Lord Sugar. The winning team from each category of the 2013 finals was then announced before having their awards presented to them by Lord Sugar himself.
