National Enterprise Challenge recruits former Young Apprentice TV show winner Ashleigh Porter-Exley
NEW RECRUIT: The winner of the BBC’s Young Apprentice Ashleigh Porter-Exley has taken up the role of National Sales Manager within the Staffordshire-based community interest company Youth Enterprise CIC.
The organisation runs The National Enterprise Challenge, an inter-school competition which encourages young people to develop their business skills.
The competition is now in its second year and Ashleigh is responsible for implementing a new structure and office support and helping bring more schools on board.
She said: “I’m loving my new role. We are based at Staffordshire University, in Stafford, but the role takes me here, there and everywhere.
After the Young Apprentice I went into school speaking, to tell students about my experiences and my background and that’s how I met Youth Enterprise director Ben Dyer.
We worked together a couple of times before I joined the team full time.
I’m most looking forward to The National Enterprise Challenge finals in July.”
