LawnsWood take part in The National Enterprise Challenge
TNEC is an inter-school competition that is available to all secondary schools in the UK.
The challenges are tailor made “real life” business challenges that offer students the opportunity to develop enterprising skills, leadership skills, time management, teamwork, confidence building, communication skills and public speaking.
The whole of year 9 took part in the challenge, working in groups of six with the opportunity for one of the groups to progress to the regional finals. Students worked hard to develop a business plan for the design and production of a flip flop. They had to think of a design, plan and develop a product for a specific target audience.
The groups worked well throughout the day and interacted brilliantly. A wide variety of exciting ideas were produced.
